thriller & suspense challenge - IV

Nada a fazer, ando mesmo quase só a ler thrillers, não ando com cabeça para ler coisas que me façam pensar muito ou sejam pesadas e deprimentes. Nada melhor então do que assassínios e detalhes sangrentos :)

O 4º livro do Desafio foi o Duplo Crime da Tess Gerritsen. Estes livros fazem parte duma série protagonizada pela detective Jane Rizzolli e pela médica patologista Maura Isles, e são normalmente de leitura rápida e com muitos pormenores não adequados a quem é mais sensível ;)

Neste livro, Maura vê-se de repente confrontada com um cadáver igualzinho a ela. Tão igual, que ela acaba por descobrir que tinha uma irmã gémea que nunca conheceu, e vem a conhecer a mãe biológica, uma pessoa que aparentemente sofre de esquizofrenia ou é simplesmente fria e maquiavélica, e que deu as duas irmãs para adopção quando eram bebés. As dúvidas começam a surgir, era mesmo Anna que devia ser a vítima, ou deveria ter sido Maura? Maura começa a investigar o seu passado, e o de Anna, e o que descobre não lhe traz nenhuma paz de espírito, um assassino impiedoso anda à solta há muitos anos e poderá estar mais próximo de Maura do que ela esperaria e gostaria.
Jane, que no 1º livro era totalmente irritante e insuportável, embora fosse impossível não gostar dela, está agora muito mais calma, também devido ao seu casamento e a estar no final da sua gravidez.

Talvez algumas surpresas não sejam assim tão grandes, mas pelo menos uma delas eu estava bem longe de prever. O livro tem tudo o que é necessário para uma leitura agradável e interessante. Fica na categoria Murder Mystery.
